Intro to Blogging

Every Shopify store comes with a built-in blog. Blogging is a fantastic way to build up your audience, generate more traffic and increase sales for your business. It can also help you increase your SEO, build your brand and create a community around your products.

Blogs can be used in so many ways and topics can be varied. The example blog post I have on this page is designed around two products listed on roybins.com; peacock designed earrings and a peacock designed necklace. It talks about peacock symbolism and lists the related products at the end using Buy Buttons created with the Buy Button sales channel. 


The Buy Button channel is different to the “Buy Now” button found on the product/cart/checkout pages. The “Buy Now”, or the dynamic or accelerated checkout button, is designed to skip the cart page and bring your customer straight to checkout either using the Shopify checkout, or more commonly, PayPal/Apple Pay/Google Pay. The Buy Button channel will create code that allows you to embed your products on a blog or external website. Customers are directed to your Shopify checkout to complete purchase.

I would suggest using this type of blog sparingly.. You don’t want everything you post to be about selling products. However, this  type of blog post is great to share on Facebook and it will give you extra clicks on different pages of your website.
